Prof. Dr. Ernani Hadiyati, S.E., M.S.
Rector's Speech
Allow us to further articulate our vision for UNIGA Malang through three major pillars. First, fostering a culture of quality in higher education. Second, driving growth and innovation across institutional learning, resources, and technology. Third, achieving economic independence.
To realize these grand visions, our strategic steps are as follows: First, establishing a culture of quality higher education means implementing GOOD UNIVERSITY GOVERNANCE by building a solid foundation for quality. We continue to take strategic steps to strengthen SPMI (Internal Quality Assurance System) and SPME (External Quality Assurance System) to reinforce stakeholder trust. We are committed to enhancing the quality of human resources—both academic faculty and administrative staff—through advanced studies, professional training, and measurable performance evaluations, while simultaneously strengthening the management across the university, faculties, study programs, and all administrative units within UNIGA.
Second, realizing the vision of growth and innovation in learning, institutional structure, resources, and technology serves as our direct response to the "Kampus Merdeka" (Independent Campus) and "Merdeka Belajar" (Freedom to Learn) policies initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
Third, achieving the vision of economic independence is driven by identifying and securing new revenue streams, as well as creating initiatives capable of serving as catalysts to accelerate our economic self-sufficiency.
Leadership within a higher education institution is vital and strategic, particularly in the face of rising global competition. Therefore, every member of the academic community and administrative staff must be capable of acting swiftly, precisely, effectively, efficiently, responsively, and caringly toward our shared progress. The keys to success are collaboration, excellent and open communication, continuous learning to embrace new sciences and technologies, and a constant willingness to support one another. A campus culture rooted in mutual respect, order, safety, comfort, cleanliness, and courtesy is a vital prerequisite for an academic environment that nurtures innovation and creativity. It is this very culture that we will continue to cultivate so that we may truly become a knowledge-based society.
This concludes our address. Thank you for your unwavering togetherness. We highly value your continued support and collaboration as we strive to realize a LEADING AND CHARACTER-DRIVEN UNIGA MALANG.
Thank You
