Strengthening National Doctoral Research: UNIGA Malang PDIM Delegation Attends APDMI XIV at Unpar Bandung

The Doctoral Program in Management (Program Doktor Ilmu Manajemen / PDIM) at Universitas Gajayana (UNIGA) Malang has once again demonstrated its commitment to enhancing academic excellence and national-level research. PDIM UNIGA Malang students, accompanied by the Head of the PDIM Study Program, Prof. Dr. Dra. Martaleni, MM., actively participated in the Management Breakthrough and Doctoral Journey XIV, held on August 5–7, 2026, at Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar) in collaboration with Maranatha Christian University and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung.

This prestigious national event was organized by the Alliance of Indonesian Doctoral Programs in Management (APDMI) under the overarching theme "Navigating the Green Business." The forum was designed as an academic platform to evaluate, refine, and disseminate cutting-edge doctoral research ideas and findings relevant to industrial dynamics and environmental sustainability.

In this national-scale conference, the PDIM UNIGA Malang delegation went beyond participating in scholarly presentations. The Head of the PDIM UNIGA Malang Study Program, Prof. Dr. Dra. Martaleni, MM., was entrusted with a strategic role as a reviewer. This appointment highlights the institution's academic reputation and public recognition of the expertise of PDIM UNIGA Malang faculty members in management science.

In her capacity as reviewer, Prof. Martaleni provided critical analysis, methodological feedback, and strategic direction on doctoral research papers presented by scholars from various public and private universities across Indonesia.

"Student participation in this APDMI event serves as a crucial milestone to test the rigor of their doctoral research before national experts. The theme 'Navigating the Green Business' is highly relevant to contemporary business transformation, which demands a balance between profitability and environmental sustainability," Prof. Martaleni stated on the sidelines of the event.

Throughout the three-day program, PDIM UNIGA Malang students presented their dissertation research proposals and progress aligned with the theme of business sustainability. Interactive discussions with cross-institutional reviewers provided a significant impetus for accelerating high-quality scientific publications.

Through regular participation in the APDMI forum, PDIM UNIGA Malang continues to foster a transformative academic climate, expand inter-institutional collaboration networks, and produce management doctoral graduates who are adaptive, innovative, and globally environmentally conscious.
