To refresh minds and strengthen ties among campus elements,
the extended family of Universitas Gajayana (UNIGA) Malang held a Family
Gathering. The three-day recreational and bonding excursion took place from
June 19 to 21, 2026, targeting two culturally rich cities: Yogyakarta and Solo.
The event served as a particularly special moment by
upholding values of equality and togetherness. This year's family gathering was
enthusiastically attended by the entire UNIGA Malang academic community without
exception, ranging from the Rector, university and faculty leadership,
lecturers, educational staff (tendik), and administrative staff, to
cleaning personnel and security team members.
Over the three-day trip, the UNIGA Malang group visited
various iconic and historic tourist destinations in Jogja and Solo. The Rector
of UNIGA Malang stated that this agenda represents the institution's highest
appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and loyalty demonstrated by all
staff across every line in advancing the university.
"UNIGA Malang stands tall and continues to grow today
thanks to the contributions of all parties. There are no boundaries or barriers
here. From top leadership to our colleagues in cleaning and security, we are
all one big family. This event is a moment for us to enjoy ourselves together
and return to campus with renewed energy and stronger synergy," the Rector
stated during the event.
An atmosphere of joy and warmth prevailed throughout the
journey. Lecturers, educational staff, and operational personnel mingled
closely across various activities, setting aside structural bureaucratic
formalities to foster a deep sense of belonging. For the cleaning and security
personnel, the trip left a profound impression as the university provided equal
care and opportunities for workers at all levels to enjoy this shared vacation.
Through the 2026 Jogja-Solo Family Gathering, Universitas
Gajayana Malang hopes that the spirit of solidarity and teamwork nurtured
during the trip will endure, fostering a harmonious, productive, and joyful
work climate on campus.
