The Communication Science Student Association (Himkomunika)
at Universitas Gajayana (Uniga) Malang successfully hosted its highest annual
assembly, the 2026 Communication Science Grand Deliberation (Musyawarah
Besar / Musakom). This crucial agenda took place on Thursday, June 18,
2026, within the Uniga Malang campus grounds.
This year's Musakom carried a highly progressive theme
steeped in a message of drive and change: "Speak Up, Move Up:
Transforming Aspirations into Contributions." The theme was selected
as a catalyst for all Communication Science students to not only speak boldly,
but also act decisively toward the advancement of their organization and study
program.
The deliberation was officially opened by the Head of the
Communication Science Study Program at Uniga Malang, M. Asnan, M.I.Kom. In his
opening remarks, he expressed high appreciation for Himkomunika's
organizational continuity while emphasizing the significance of the assembly as
a forum for reflection and future planning.
"This Grand Deliberation is not merely a routine agenda
to change student leadership. It is a valuable momentum for reflection. I hope
the 'Speak Up, Move Up' theme is truly put into practice. Express constructive
aspirations, then transform them into tangible contributions for the reputation
of our Communication Science alma mater," M. Asnan stated during his
opening address.
The plenary sessions proceeded dynamically while maintaining
a constructive atmosphere, characterized by active debates and idea-sharing
among participants—a hallmark of communication students. Through the successful
execution of Mubes 2026, Himkomunika Uniga Malang is expected to elect a solid,
innovative new leadership board capable of serving as a problem-solving bridge
for all Communication Science students.
