Universitas Gajayana (UNIGA) Malang remains steadfast in its
commitment to continuously enhancing the quality of higher education. This
strategic initiative was realized through a Workshop on the Implementation of
the Internal Quality Assurance System (Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal /
SPMI) and the Drafting of Departmental Operational Plans (Rencana
Operasional / Renop), held on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
The highly productive event ran from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM WIB
in the Postgraduate Hall at UNIGA Malang. It was attended by key
decision-makers across UNIGA Malang to ensure alignment of vision from the
university level down to individual study programs. Attendees included the
UNIGA Malang Executive Board, Deans from various faculties, the Educational
Quality Assurance Body (BP3M), as well as Department Heads (Kaprodi)
and Department Secretaries (Sekprodi). The presence of leadership across
all levels underscored UNIGA Malang’s serious commitment to charting tactical
and operational steps toward achieving superior accreditation standards and
campus governance.
To provide comprehensive guidance, UNIGA Malang invited Dr.
Bhekti as an expert speaker and facilitator. During the workshop sessions, Dr.
Bhekti thoroughly dissected effective IQA implementation mechanisms and
strategies for drafting realistic yet progressive Operational Plans for each
study program. "A quality assurance system is not merely about fulfilling
administrative documentation; it is the core of a sustainable culture of
academic quality. The Operational Plan drafted today will serve as a compass for
departments to move forward in a measurable manner," Dr. Bhekti explained
during his presentation.
Throughout the five-hour session, participants engaged not
only in theoretical lectures but also actively participated in interactive
discussions and practical simulations for drafting Operational Plans tailored
to the unique characteristics of each study program. Through this workshop, all
study programs at UNIGA Malang are expected to achieve greater readiness in
implementing quality assurance, thereby producing highly competitive graduates
who remain relevant to contemporary demands.
