Still amidst the warm atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H,
Universitas Gajayana (UNIGA) Malang held a Halal Bihalal (post-Eid
friendly gathering) attended by all campus elements on Tuesday (March 31,
2026). Located in the central building lobby, the event served as a momentum to
strengthen synergy between the foundation board, university executive
leadership, and academic staff.
The event was attended directly by the Chairman of the
Foundation Board of Trustees, the Rector of UNIGA Malang, as well as all
faculty members and administrative personnel. The presence of the university
leadership underscored the institution's commitment to maintaining harmony and
a sense of family within the workplace.
In her remarks, the Rector of UNIGA Malang conveyed an
important message regarding the meaning of returning to purity (fitri).
She emphasized that the purity of heart achieved post-Ramadan should serve as a
renewed drive to deliver the finest educational services.
"The momentum of Eid al-Fitr is our time to return to
purity. I invite the entire academic community to bring this spirit of purity
into our workspace. Let us start a new chapter with enthusiasm, joy, and
dedication to advancing our beloved university," stated the Rector.
The highlight of the event featured an Eid tausiyah (religious
sermon) delivered by Prof. Dr. H. Asnawi, M.Ag., from UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim
Malang. In his lecture, Prof. Asnawi outlined the three pillars of human
happiness: the family pillar, the work pillar, and the environmental pillar,
serving as the keys to blessings within organizational and personal life.
The gathering concluded with a collective prayer and the
tradition of mushafahah (shaking hands) among all attendees as a symbol
of mutual forgiveness. Through this event, UNIGA Malang hopes that the spirit
of Eid al-Fitr will enhance the solidarity of the entire academic community as
they face future academic challenges.
