The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas
Gajayana (UNIGA) Malang successfully organized the prestigious Gajayana Economy
Festival (GEF) 2026. Serving as a platform for creativity and competence for
high school and vocational school (SMA/SMK) students from across
Indonesia, the event reached its climax during the grand final offline session
held at the Universitas Gajayana Auditorium on Saturday (April 25, 2026).
The Gajayana Economy Festival 2026 featured three main
competition categories: the Economics Olympiad, the Accounting Olympiad, and
the Entrepreneur Competition. Carrying the spirit of healthy competition, the
festival drew hundreds of participating students formed into teams of four.
The competition process was fiercely contested across two
stages: a preliminary online round to screen the top candidates, followed by a
grand final that brought together the finalists at the UNIGA Malang campus to
compete for the championship titles.
Following intense competition, the board of judges
determined the winners who demonstrated exceptional analytical skills and
profound knowledge in economics and accounting. Below is the list of winners:
Economics Olympiad:
1st Place: Scarcity Team (SMAN 1 Manyar, Gresik)
2nd Place: Sadewa Team
3rd Place: Superior Team (SMA Ibnu Sina, Malang City)
Accounting Olympiad:
1st Place: MBI Amanatul Ummah, Mojokerto
2nd Place: SMKN 1 Nglegok, Blitar
3rd Place: MBI Amanatul Ummah, Mojokerto
To honor their achievements, FEB UNIGA presented awards to
the top three winners in each category, consisting of certificates and
developmental funding as follows:
1st Place: IDR 1,500,000
2nd Place: IDR 1,250,000
3rd Place: IDR 1,000,000
The Dean of FEB UNIGA expressed his highest appreciation to
all participants who actively joined with great enthusiasm from various regions
across the country. "This event is expected to serve as a stepping stone
for students to continually hone their passion and talent in economics,
enabling them to make tangible contributions to the national economy in the
future," he stated during the closing ceremony.
The Gajayana Economy Festival 2026 served not only as a
competitive arena, but also as a hub for student collaboration across regions,
while simultaneously introducing the academic excellence of the Faculty of
Economics and Business at Universitas Gajayana Malang to Indonesia's younger
generation.
