As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, the Rector of
Universitas Gajayana (UNIGA) Malang officially conveyed a warm message and
extended congratulations on celebrating Hari Raya Eid al-Fitr 1 Shawwal 1447 H
to the entire university community and the general public.
In her official statement, the Rector emphasized that Eid
al-Fitr serves as a crucial momentum for the entire academic community to
engage in self-reflection and reinforce ties of brotherhood after undergoing a
month-long spiritual transformation.
The Rector expressed that the core essence of Eid al-Fitr
lies in returning to innate purity (fitrah). She voiced hope that the
values of patience, discipline, and empathy forged throughout Ramadan will
continue to be implemented within UNIGA Malang's work and academic
environments.
"Eid al-Fitr is not merely a ceremony of victory, but a
turning point for all of us to become individuals of greater integrity and
compassion. Let us open a new chapter with clean hearts, forgiving one another,
and offering mutual support for our collective advancement," stated the
Rector.
Furthermore, the university executive leadership highlighted
the vital importance of maintaining harmony within the campus environment.
Amidst the diversity present at UNIGA Malang, the spirit of Eid al-Fitr is
expected to serve as a social glue that solidifies unity.
"Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum, shiyamana wa
shiyamakum. On behalf of the leadership of Universitas Gajayana Malang, I wish
you a Happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. Please forgive me for any physical or spiritual
shortcomings," she added.
In conjunction with the announcement, UNIGA Malang also
informed adjustments to office operational schedules and academic activities
during the Eid holiday period to allow staff and students the opportunity to
gather with their families in their hometowns.
The Rector concluded her message with a prayer that the
entire UNIGA Malang family be granted health and blessings, and be reunited
with Ramadan in the years to come.
