Universitas Gajayana (UNIGA) Malang has ushered in a new chapter for its Student Executive Board (BEM). On Thursday (Jan 8, 2026), at the Postgraduate Hall, the Rector of Uniga Malang, Prof. Dr. Ernani Hadiati, officially inaugurated Hendra Muansyah as Student Body President (Presiden Mahasiswa) and Mutmainnah as Vice Student Body President of BEM UNIGA Malang for the 2025–2026 tenure.

The ceremony featured a handover of leadership from the outgoing President for the 2024–2025 period, Julianto. The presence of the former president demonstrated full support as the baton of leadership was officially passed to his successors.

In his remarks, Julianto expressed optimism for the incoming board. He voiced hope that the achievements built during the previous period would be continued and elevated by the Hendra–Mutmainnah duo.

"We lend our full support to the new cabinet. Handing over this leadership baton symbolizes that the student struggle must never cease. I am confident that under Hendra and Mutmainnah's leadership, BEM UNIGA Malang will become increasingly progressive," Julianto stated.

In his inaugural address, the newly appointed President, Hendra Muansyah, emphasized that BEM in this period must be an organization that genuinely represents all students without exception. He introduced a leadership vision centered on inclusivity and collaboration.

Hendra highlighted that his primary focus is to unite all campus elements so they align on the same wavelength.

"Our hope is that this year's BEM can truly serve as a representation for every student. We want to foster an inclusive and collaborative space. Most importantly, our ultimate objective is to ensure that all students and the academic community operate in synergy toward a shared goal," Hendra affirmed.

Furthermore, Hendra called on all students to reclaim their core identity as agents of change. He envisioned UNIGA Malang not merely as an institution of learning, but as an active driver of real transformation.

The inauguration—attended by university leaders and representatives from various student organizations—concluded with a group photo session and congratulations from the academic community, who place high expectations on the shoulders of the 2025–2026 BEM UNIGA Malang leadership team.
